Watch your manners and mannerisms — all those things your parents drilled into you when you were a child (and a few more). Stand up straight, don’t hang your mouth open, don’t fidget, do speak up and speak clearly, don’t chew gum or smell like smoke. Have a good handshake and make good eye contact.

Carry a simple padfolio to keep your resumes organized and ready. Some fairs have you check your bags at the door because the event is crowded. Be prepared for employers to give you literature and give-away items (pens, cups, t-shirts, etc.) — this is typical at fairs (sometimes they give you a bag to carry the give-aways). Bottom line is that you want to look like an organized person because that’s an asset in an employee.

If you have extra time, or have to wait to speak with an employer, take advantage of the opportunity to chat with other employers who aren’t busy. You might learn something to your advantage to your surprise. At the least, you’ll be practicing initiating a conversation in a less formal business environment — and this is an essential skill in any work environment.
This is your opportunity to be evaluated on more than just your resume. In many aspects of the job search, your resume (and cover letter) is (are) all the employer sees to determine whether to interview you. At a fair, you have an opportunity to stand out in person in a way that you might not on your resume. Interpersonal skills, communication skills and work-place-appropriate social skills are critical. Many employers evaluate these skills heavily, because they want to hire people who can make a good impression on their clients and customers.

The Amazing Race is an American reality race program broadcast by CBS. Since its start in 2001 TAR has had twelve series and has been hugely successful. Not only must you complete the written form but you must also include a short video of up to three minutes. This video will be used by the producers to decide whether they are interested in meeting you at an interview and taking your application further. They are looking for people who come across well on film and have a character that will be suitable for the Amazing Race. If they feel that both members of the team have the right personality, looks and commitment, then they may ask you to join a team of finalists in one of several major cities in the United States.

When filling in your application for the Amazing Race, you will be ask to sign a contract to confirm your agreement to a number of points. One of these will be a background check. The show will have the right to carry out any background investigations that they feel necessary. This will be at their discretion. They will also want to know about any misdemeanor or felony that you may have been responsible for in your past (with the exception of minor traffic offences).

Another condition of your application for the Amazing Race will be that you sign a confidentiality contract. This will mean that you will not be able to talk to anyone regarding any issues concerning the recording of the show or any issues relating to the content of the shows. This will ensure the show being aired without the audience being aware of where the teams will be heading or indeed any other plans for the series. As a L’Oreal Professionnel Sales & Education Coordinator, you represent L’Oreal while working for Maly’s West, Inc., America’s favorite distribution company.

L’Oreal Professionnel is seeking an Education Coordinator (LSEC) to develop and manage L’oreal Professionnel’s educational needs in the Sacramento and surrounding area, through effective management of all education resources to support the company’s initiatives. The LSEC will ensure business growth within the specific territory by providing education support on existing accounts. The primary objectives will be to coordinate and recruit a team of contract educators, provide in-salon and store education, new product launches, business building, and refresher classes. You will need to create loyalty of the brand through sales, education and the in-salon presence and use all L’Oreal Professionnel tools and elements to enhance image and expertise with the salon staff and clients while upholding the LP brand image. In order to excel, you must be a strong self-starter who has great confidence, persuasive communication skills and a flair for effective presentations. It is also essential that you have the ability to inspire, as well as a contagious enthusiasm for the beauty and fashion industry.

General Description and Responsibilities:
# Develop strong relationships with customers, distributor stores, sales consultants, salon personnel and consumers.
# Training of part time educators, sales consultants, and salon personnel along with management of salon education, shows and events in assigned region.
# Assist Sales Management Team with selling activities in the marketplace.
# Increase revenue by opening new accounts and expanding existing accounts.
# Present at distributor sales meetings.- Conduct educational classes in Maly’s store and salons.
# REQUIRED TRAVEL: As needed for L’Oreal training and out-of-market support. Weekends and evenings required as needed.

Job Requirements

- Minimum 3 years salon experience as a Licensed Hair Stylist
# Minimum 2 years demonstrating, teaching or presentation experience preferred
# Cosmetology license
# Proficient technical skills in cutting and finishing
# Strong presentation skills- Professional and fashionable image
# Valid drivers license, vehicle proof of insurance
# Ability to drive and travel long distances for extended periods
# Ability to transport education presentation materials, sample cases, etc.
